MQ7 offers an all natural, non-toxic Flea and Tick Control for Dogs formulation that has never before achieved such levels of innovation and extraordinary performance. This product is meant to be applied on your dog on a regular regiment (every two weeks) to help in the prevention of flea and tick infestation and ward off mites, mosquitoes, flies, gnats and lice.
All cedar oil can not be treated equally and why our MQ7 formulation is so expensive. It starts with the selection of the specie Juniperus virginania (Cupressaceae family), from which we extract the cedarwood oil. For the most part it is harvested by chainsaws as the terrain on which it grows may be steep and rocky; thus some trees may not be accessible to ground vehicles. The Juniperus virginania is a dense slow-growing tree that may never become more than a bush and only contain 3% cedar oil. The oil is extracted by means of distillation, which even with todays technology, only 80% can be extracted. It is a very labor intensive, rigorous and time consuming process. We then modify the oil to increase the components within the oil that have the natural insect repellency properties. It takes 3 gallons of pure Juniperus virginania cedar oil to make 1 gallon of our highly concentrated cedar oil used for our MQ7 formulation. The modification process, which is proprietary and taken 18 years to develop allows us to combine the modified cedar oil with a catalytic agent and homogenize the oil with water.
MQ7 is safe enough to use on a regular basis, but at the same time strong enough to keep those nasty fleas and ticks off your dog. This product is safe to apply indoors and around children and other pets. This product is meant to be used as a preventative measure to ward off fleas and ticks and is not meant for the actual treatment of flea and tick infestation. For severe flea and tick infestation problems, we recommend our MQ7 GreenScience Flea and Tick Infestation Concentrate.
